01 | THE PROBLEM

Planning a celebration involves
a lot of moving parts.

Hosts need to manage invitations, track RSVPs, remember gifts, and follow up with personalized thank-you notes. When these tasks are handled separately, information can become scattered and the process more time-consuming.

02 | THE OPPORTUNITY

Build on what Hallmark
already does best.

Hallmark already provides personalized greeting cards and occasion reminders, while competitors such as Evite, Paperless Post, and Partiful offer digital invitations and event-management tools.

This concept explores an opportunity to extend Hallmark's existing experience by connecting event planning, guest management, gift tracking, and personalized thank-you cards.

03 | THE SOLUTION

A seamless celebration experience from start to finish.

I developed Hallmark Events, an AI-assisted mobile prototype designed to support the entire celebration journey. The concept allows hosts to create events, manage invitations and RSVPs, record gifts by guest, and generate personalized thank-you messages that can be reviewed and approved before sending.

The goal is to reduce repetitive tasks, preserve important details, and make meaningful follow-up easier.

04 | THE DESIGN PROCESS

From research to an interactive prototype.

I mapped user journeys, developed user flows, prioritized features, and iterated on an interactive prototype using Figma Design, FigJam AI, Figma Make, and ChatGPT.

01 | THE PROBLEM

Knowing your worth is one thing. Negotiating for it

is another.

Professionals may discover they are earning less than their peers but lack the confidence, resources, or guidance to negotiate a higher salary. While salary comparison tools provide valuable data, they don't always help users understand how to turn that information into an effective conversation with their employer.

02 | THE OPPORTUNITY

Connect salary insights with practical support.

Our research explored the challenges professionals face when discussing compensation, including limited salary transparency, uncertainty about
negotiation strategies, and difficulty
finding reliable guidance. We identified
an opportunity for Indeed to extend its salary resources by connecting industry
pay data with personalized coaching and negotiation preparation.

03 | THE SOLUTION

From salary research to confident conversations.

We developed Indeed Salary Coach, a UX/UI concept that connects salary information with access to professional coaching. The experience allows users to explore salary resources, review coaching information and feedback, and schedule sessions with a salary coach to prepare for compensation discussions.

The goal is to help users move beyond understanding their salary data and feel more prepared to advocate for themselves.

04 | USER RESEARCH

Understanding the challenges behind salary negotiations.

Our team conducted research through surveys, interviews, and competitive analysis to better understand how professionals evaluate compensation and prepare for salary discussions. We organized responses into affinity diagrams to identify recurring themes, including salary transparency, peer comparisons, negotiation confidence, and access to professional guidance.

These findings helped us define the user's needs and identify opportunities for a more supportive experience.

05 | THE DESIGN PROCESS

Turning research into a focused experience.

We developed user personas and journey maps to understand the steps, frustrations, and decisions involved in seeking a salary increase.

Through ideation and feature prioritization, we evaluated potential solutions based on their importance to users and the effort required to implement them.

Our proposed experience focused on connecting users with salary coaches, providing access to negotiation guidance, and helping users make informed decisions about compensation.

06 | PROTOTYPING
& USABILITY TESTING

Testing how users discover and access salary coaching.

We developed an interactive prototype and conducted usability testing across mobile and desktop experiences.

Participants completed tasks involving discovering the Salary Coach feature, locating reviews, and scheduling a coaching session.

Testing helped us evaluate navigation, content clarity, and the overall booking experience. Feedback highlighted opportunities to make the coaching feature easier to discover and improve the clarity of the user journey.

07 | REFLECTION

Research gave the concept direction.

This project strengthened my understanding of how user research informs product decisions. Working through surveys, interviews, affinity mapping, and usability testing helped me connect user frustrations with practical design opportunities. It reinforced the importance of understanding the problem before developing a solution and testing whether that solution meets users' needs.
